This second GUIDE OF MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE focusing on the Mons & Heart of the Hainaut region invites readers to took at architecture differently through a selection of more than two hundred and fifty projects illustrated with plans and situated on a map, commented by some forty authors and photographed by Olivier Cornil. These projects stem from the modernity each time revisited by architects from Art nouveau to today: modest projects or impressive edifices, private commissions or public buildings. This book is made in partnership with the Faculty of architecture and town development of the Mons University under the direction of Lamya Ben Djaffar and Isabelle De Smet.
